Mr. Scherr's practice focuses on serious personal injury and wrongful death claims resulting from the negligence of others, including those claims arising out of motor vehicle / motorcycle accidents, defective products, medical, dental and nursing home negligence, premises defects, industrial accidents and police brutality.

After graduating from law school as an editor on the law review at Washington University, Mr. Scherr clerked for the Honorable William P. Turner in the Sixth Judicial Circuit for the State of Maryland. Thereafter, Mr. Scherr entered private practice concentrating only on motor vehicle accident and premises liability claims and litigation. After joining the predecessor firm to Futrovsky, Forster & Scherr, Chartered in 1995, Mr. Scherr's practice expanded to include the litigation of products liability, dental malpractice, police brutality and industrial accident claims. In 1998, Mr. Scherr was made a shareholder in the firm.

Mr. Scherr has successfully litigated hundreds of injury and death claims in the state and federal courts of Maryland and the District of Columbia.

Mr. Scherr grew up in Bethesda, Maryland. He received an undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1989 and his law degree from Washington University in St. Louis in 1992. Mr Scherr is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell and received Maryland and District of Columbia Super Lawyer awards in 2007.
